North Dakota Deer Hunting

Dakota winds hunting invites you to hunt the beautiful plains of southwest North Dakota and have a great chance at a trophy whitetail, mule deer, or pronghorn antelope.  If you’ve never experienced North Dakota deer hunting, you can come here and have a chance at both species of deer as well as plenty of antelope.

We hunt on over 10,000 acres of private land which has been managed to produce trophy animals.  Most of the deer hunting will be done out of ground blinds and spot and stalk methods.  The antelope are on the open plains and will be hunted in ground blinds by water sources or by decoying them within shooting range.

Antelope and whitetail deer bow tags can be bought over the counter.   Mule deer bow tags are on a first come first serve basis.

Deer rifle tags can be purchased from an outfitter if they are able to draw the tags or else you need to apply on a lottery system.  Deadline to apply is june 8th  – if you want more information check out the ND Game & Fish Website.  Persons born after 1961 must complete a certified hunter education course and show proof of certification when buying or applying for hunting licenses (official courses offered by other states and Canadian provinces meet these requirements).
